In case you missed it, the Associated Press released a fact check of President Joe Biden’s responses during his CNN town-hall Tuesday. The analysis highlighted Biden’s incoherent, muddled answers and exposed his attempts to constantly shift the goalposts on reopening schools and deploying the COVID vaccine.

When asked about the White House’s one-day-a-week timeline for getting kids back in school, Biden said “No, that’s not true. That’s what was reported. That’s not true. That was a mistake in the communication.” AP determined Biden’s answer was “a stretch.”

“The argument that four days of schooling at home and one in the classroom could constitute success drew plenty of criticism. So the White House has changed its tune on the 100-day goal and is aiming higher.” – AP

Biden also claimed that his administration didn’t have a COVID-19 vaccine when he came into office, which AP ruled was “wrong.”

“Two vaccines were developed, under distribution and going into people’s arms in the U.S. before Biden took office…” – AP

The Associated Press also noted that Biden’s claim about “overwhelming consensus” regarding pandemic relief spending was “not entirely accurate.”

“There is broad agreement that massive spending is required to counter the economic pain and meet the public-health needs of the pandemic — and that there are more risks to going too small than too big. But with regard to Biden’s specific plan, there are prominent dissenters and vigorous disagreement over how high to go.” – AP

Bottom line: The Biden administration has repeatedly proven they prioritize keeping teachers unions and other special interest groups happy over doing what’s right for students. Worse yet, there seems to be no coherent plan for disseminating the COVID vaccine to communities that need it most.
