Democrats Pursue Baseless Impeachment Effort As House Session Nears End

With only 28 legislative days left in 2019, House Democrats are already admitting they have no intention of addressing the issues faced by American families.

Instead, they’re pushing forward with a baseless, overtly partisan impeachment process against President Trump to undo the 2016 election. Democrats have been calling for impeachment since the day the president took office, and they even attempted to impeach him multiple times in 2017.

Texas Tribune: “In recent months, Green has threatened to bring articles of impeachment against Trump before the House multiple times, including in October, when he said he would force a vote and then backed down. Under House rules, after Green introduced his resolution Wednesday, the chamber had to vote on the measure in the next two days unless a vote to table the resolution was successful.”

As the clock ticks down, House Democrats are making their priorities clear to the American people. Rather than passing the most historic trade agreement in a generation or addressing rising prescription drug costs, their entire agenda has become impeachment.
