The confirmation hearings for Judge Neil Gorsuch get underway today, providing ample opportunity for ambitious Democrats to grandstand before the cameras on the national stage. Never one to miss an opportunity to show how big of a hypocrite she is, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is out with an op-ed this morning in the Boston Globe reiterating her opposition to Judge Gorsuch’s nomination.

Yet while Warren panders to the far-left by saying that “Judge Gorsuch’s nomination should be blocked,” she’s exposed herself to charges that she’s a political opportunist in the Hillary Clinton mold.

While Warren rushes to embrace the filibuster today, when President Obama was nominating judges, she called for the filibuster’s abolition on the Senate floor:

“If Republicans continue to filibuster these highly qualified nominees for no reason other than to nullify the President’s Constitutional authority, then senators not only have the right to change the filibuster rules – senators have a duty to change the filibuster rules. We cannot turn our backs on the Constitution. We cannot abdicate our oath of office. We have a responsibility to protect and defend our democracy, and that includes protecting the neutrality of our courts – and preserving the Constitutional power of the President to nominate highly qualified people to court vacancies.”

To that end, Warren voted for Harry Reid’s ending of the filibuster. Additionally, Warren repeatedly called for Judge Garland to receive a vote, saying that “one of the most solemn undertakings” for a Senate was “filling a vacancy on the United States Supreme Court.” Apparently, it’s not so solemn that Warren wasn’t willing to flip-flop on her filibuster position.
