Complaints about Joe Biden hiding from the press in his Delaware basement are validated virtually every time he conducts an interview without a teleprompter. Biden proved this point once again by insinuating African Americans are a monolithic group that lacks diverse views on political issues.

Axios: “During a series of interviews at a convention for Black and Hispanic journalists (NABJ/NAHJ), Biden said: ‘Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly diverse attitudes about different things.’”

Biden’s comments came just a few days after he lashed out at an African American journalist for asking if he had taken a cognitive test. He went on to ask the journalist if he was taking cocaine or a “junkie.”

“No, I haven’t taken a test,” Biden said. Why the hell would I take a test? C’mon, man. That’s like saying, ‘You — before you got on this program you took a test where you’re taking cocaine or not, what do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?'”

In May, Biden told a popular African American radio host that he “wasn’t black” if he had any trouble deciding who to support in November.

“Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

Joe Biden’s slew of degrading comments toward the African American community put a spotlight on his campaign’s strategy of hiding the candidate in his basement and minimizing the number of unscripted statements he makes.
