Joe Biden Continues to Heap Praise on Segregationists

Remember Joe Biden saying yesterday that he would stop praising segregationists?

Less than 24 hours later, that’s exactly what he’s doing.

Politico yesterday: “Biden conceded he was wrong earlier this summer when he recalled fondly working with segregationists in the Senate to pass legislation despite their ideological differences. In retrospect, he said, he never should have invoked the lawmakers without adding the proper context.

‘I’m not using those examples anymore,’ he said.”

Biden today: “Folks, you know, I spent an awful lot of time in South Carolina because of my good friend, and he was my great, great friend and helped me a great deal through some very difficult times, Fritz Hollings and PT Hollings, and I miss him.”
