Joe Biden Not Yet Holding a Formal News Conference Raises Accountability Questions

President Joe Biden has gone longer than any of his predecessors in the last 100 years by refusing to hold a formal, solo press conference at the start of his term. For an administration who promised to bring “transparency and truth” back to the White House, this raises serious questions about their credibility and accountability.

Holding a formal press conference as president isn’t just about upholding tradition. It’s about providing answers to the American people.

“The tough exchanges in such a setting can reveal much more to Americans about a president’s thinking and test his explanations, as opposed to what so far have been Biden’s brief answers — often one-liner quips — in the tightly-controlled and often-scripted events the White House has arranged to date.” – ABC

President Biden has managed to stay away from the press as much as possible, and the few times he does get asked questions, his aides quickly step in.

Or he answers in three words or less.

Some speculate that Biden’s low-profile strategy is to avoid the gaffes and blunders he became notorious for throughout his lifetime as a politician, but it does make you wonder: What is President Biden hiding?

Bottom line: President Biden has left a lot of questions unanswered. His administration has a crisis on its hands at the southern border where record numbers of unaccompanied minors are attempting to enter the country, and two of its staunchest political allies are under scrutiny for implementing policies that put COVID patients into nursing homes full of vulnerable residents. 

It goes without saying that “truth and accountability” has not been “restored” to the White House as Jen Psaki advertised.
