President Joe Biden lied about Georgia’s new election law and encouraged the MLB to move their All-Star game out of Atlanta as a result. Now, small businesses are bearing the brunt of Biden’s actions.

In an interview with MSNBC, one small business owner — whose sales have been stunted by the pandemic for months — said, “I understand why they’re doing it, but it’s still frustrating as far as a small business, black-owned business owner. It’s kind of hard to try to maintain and bring customers in because of the pandemic.”

Another restaurant owner in downtown Atlanta also told MSNBC that he’s worried about the lasting impact the MLB’s decision could have on small businesses trying to recover from the coronavirus: “It’s a trickle-down effect. We’re just trying to get back to a normal sense of business here.”

State officials have projected that the MLB’s move is likely to cost Georgia more than $100 million in lost tourism revenue.

“‘In the initial stages of the pandemic, many Cobb [County] hotels saw single digit occupancy numbers,’ [Holly Quinlan, president and CEO of Cobb Travel and Tourism] said. ‘The 8,000-plus MLB contracted hotel room nights that will not actualize as a result of the MLB All-Star Game relocation will have a negative impact on Cobb’s hospitality industry and other local businesses, further delaying recovery.’” – CNN

In an interview with Fox & Friends FIRST this week, Atlanta small business owner Bruce Levell highlighted the dangers of cancel culture from big enterprises like the MLB.

“We make up 62 percent of the GDP,” Levell said. “That means we have really essentially the horse power. We’ve just got to come together. The big corporations, they don’t run the country. They don’t dictate and tell us where we should go or what we shouldn’t do.”

Bottom line: Joe Biden’s reckless claims in an effort to appease the radical members of his base are leaving Cobb County, Georgia small businesses behind.
