Washington Post: Hillary Clinton is just as much to blame on foreign policy failures

It is no secret Democrats are nervous that President Obama’s abject failure to contain let alone eradicate the Islamic State and dismal effort to reassure the public will land on their heads in 2016. On Wednesday Defense Secretary Ashton Carter was the latest official to reiterate that the Islamic State is not contained.

In both cases, Republicans hold the cards and should force votes on meaningful national security measures (e.g., new Iran sanctions, re-institution of metadata gathering), not allowing the Democrats to get by with a few fig leaves.

When it comes to the 2016 election, however, there is some worry in GOP quarters that Hillary Clinton, in comparison to Obama, looks so much better (who wouldn’t?!) that voters will forget how tightly aligned she is and was with his policy choices. You therefore see an effort like this from the Republican group America Rising to emphasize the tie between Clinton and Obama:
