Prices Continue to Skyrocket, House Democrats Failed To Clean Up Their Mess

How did one House Democrat rate the economy on a scale of 1–10? Even as gas prices and grocery bills continue to  rise, Rep. Elaine Luria rated the economy “probably as a 6.”

Yet, Luria’s rating on the economy doesn’t seem to reflect reality as new reports show inflation rose 8.2% year over year and 0.4% month over month. With less than a month until Election Day, this is a reminder for Americans across the country that Democrats’ reckless spending spree caused prices to skyrocket, making their lives worse.

Here’s what a couple of vulnerable House Democrats have been saying during their debates about rising costs:

Iowa’s Cindy Axne was asked about the federal government’s response to record setting inflation and she responded by saying, “what we’re doing [on inflation] is working,” while Pennsylvania Democrat Susan Wild said she’s “focused on lowering costs.”

Along with Representatives Axne and Wild, Rep. Dan Kildee of Michigan stated that Democrats are “working to lower prices,” and Virginia Rep. Jennifer Wexton claimed that her voting record shows that she’s helping alleviate rising prices across the country.
