Thanksgiving Just Got 14 Percent More Expensive This Year Thanks to Joe Biden
Families across the country are being forced to pay more for less this Thanksgiving as a result of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ incompetence.
November 18, 2021Your Thanksgiving meal will cost 14% more this year due to the Biden-Harris administration’s runaway inflation and supply chain shortages, according to a new survey from the American Farm Bureau Federation.
American Farm Bureau Federation: “Farm Bureau’s 36th annual survey indicates the average cost of this year’s classic Thanksgiving feast for 10 is $53.31 or less than $6.00 per person. This is a $6.41 or 14% increase from last year’s average of $46.90.”
According to the survey, the price increases of some individual ingredients are even higher. The cost of a 16-pound turkey is up 24% this year, pie crusts are up 20%, and dinner rolls are up 15%.
Experts are also advising Americans to start their grocery shopping early to avoid any food shortages, be willing to be flexible when it comes to crafting your Thanksgiving menu, and consider rationing portions to make sure there’s enough food to go around.
NBC: “The experts say, first of all, if you’re out and you can’t find something, think about shopping locally. That’s a good tip. Remember that you can always do frozen foods. Most people are always looking for fresh, but frozen foods. You could actually tell everybody coming to your table, ‘hey, let’s split this up. Everybody bring something kind of like a potluck.’ That helps. And horrible horrors…smaller portions at the table. If everybody eats a little bit less, there will be plenty of food to go around.”
Bottom line: Families across the country are being forced to pay more for less this Thanksgiving as a result of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ incompetence.
