The Democrats’ War on Working Americans

On August 19, a Pennsylvania steel worker told MSNBC: “A lot of things that Donald Trump did is the reasons they opened the mill back up. Instead of us going to China, China came over here.”

  • Biden admits that he is willing to sacrifice jobs and economic growth. He claims the “problem” with China is not the trade deficit, even though the trade deficits with China have cost the U.S. 3.7 million jobs since 2001. Biden supported China joining the WTO, that has cost the U.S. more than 60,000 factories since they joined since 2001. Now Biden’s tax proposal would shrink the economy by 1.51 percent, reduce overall wages by 0.98 percent, leading to the loss of 585,000 full-time equivalent jobs.

On August 20, a Tennessee union member told Richard Trumka: “Obama and Biden destroyed that whole thing [unions]. I will be voting for Trump as a lot of people will that were in the union.”

  • Biden’s 2020 campaign climate plan described the Green New Deal as “crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face.” In March 2020, he said there was an opportunity to use the Green New Deal as part of the coronavirus response. Labor unions said they were withholding support for the proposal because it could kill jobs.

On August 25, lifelong Democrat from Lorain, Ohio told C-SPAN: “After watching the convention tonight…I am definitely changing my vote to Republican.”

BOTTOM LINE: American workers had enough of the Obama-Biden Administration’s eight years of job killing policies and they don’t want to go backwards.
