Warren Flip Flops on Amazon
Elizabeth Warren announced today that she wants to break up big tech companies like Amazon and Facebook. But when Amazon was considering Boston for the location of HQ2, Warren welcomed the tech giant with open arms. In November 2018, Warren said Boston “would’ve been a good opportunity for Amazon, but they blew it.”
Today, when pressed on whether she would have supported having the company’s second headquarters in Boston, Warren refused to answer the question:
On whether she would have been OK with Amazon setting up a second headquarters in Boston, Warren wouldn't answer yes or no — but that what she doesn't want is cities competing against each other and be asked to "give away tax revenues."
