Warren Flip Flops on Israel

Today, The Intercept reported that Senator Elizabeth Warren is urging the Israeli government to “respect the rights of Palestinians to peacefully protest.” This new policy stance stands in clear contrast to statements she made at a Massachusetts town hall in 2014 caught by America Rising tracking where she said “Israel has a right to defend itself.”

Senator Warren is looking for any way possible to differentiate herself from the 2020 Democratic field. The flip flops will only continue. She is only the second 2020 hopeful to comment on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, following Senator Bernie Sander’s lead.
