What You Need to Know: Mike Franken
Mike Franken is a proud progressive who wants to transform Iowa into a progressive wonderland.

Last night, Democrats nominated Mike Franken to go head-to-head against Senator Chuck Grassley in Iowa’s U.S. Senate race.
Who is Mike Franken?
A quick look at his record reveals he is a rubber stamp for Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer’s agenda and is way out of step with where the majority of Iowans stand on the issues.
Too Liberal for Iowa
Mike Franken is a proud progressive who said his number one job as a U.S. Senator would be to “rebuild the sense of progressivism” in Iowa.

Franken has also boosted left-wing members of the Senate Democratic Caucus, saying Elizabeth Warren should have a “more prominent role” in government.
He supports progressive policies such as government-run health care, eliminating the filibuster, and amnesty for illegal immigrants. He is also a big proponent of Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill, which would intensify inflation already exacerbated by out of control government spending.
Out of Touch With Iowans
Under Joe Biden and the Democrats’ leadership, Iowans have experienced record-breaking gas prices, astronomically high costs for goods and services, a surge of migrants to the border, and a chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Iowans disapprove of Joe Biden’s job performance with only 31% of Iowans saying the President is doing a good job as of Wednesday.
But according to Franken, Biden is “doing a fabulous job as president.”

Meanwhile, many Iowans are suffering. One farmer from Jesup, Iowa said inflation has caused his crop prices to rise, which will cause families’ bills at the grocery store to continue to skyrocket.
Fox News: “‘If you think we’re seeing food price spikes right now, I think the food price increases are just starting,’ Riensche said. ‘And I don’t think your grocery bill will be $1,000 a month. I think it may go up $1,000 a month.’”
Bottom line: Mike Franken is a proud progressive who wants to transform Iowa into a progressive wonderland. He is drastically out of touch with the challenges everyday Iowans are facing and would be an extension of Washington Democrats’ failed leadership and economic agenda.
