Consumer prices are at their highest since 2008, and unemployment remains higher than expected despite businesses reopening following the government imposed closings.

Americans are four months into a Democrat-controlled White House and Congress, and this is the stark reality — one that some economists say is a direct result of Democrats’ big spending agenda.

The Washington Post: “Some economists, including Lawrence Summers, a former treasury secretary, warn that major spending from the Biden administration will send the economy into overdrive, triggering dangerous levels of inflation and forcing the Fed to hike rates.”

Companies across the country are struggling to find workers because of the Biden administration’s trillion-dollar COVID relief package that expanded unemployment benefits and incentivized Americans to stay at home.

Gas prices are also increasing amid Democrats’ war on affordable energy. President Joe Biden told voters on the campaign trail he wanted to stop building pipelines and then canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline on the first day of his presidency.

But now that a cyberattack forced the shutdown of another major U.S. pipeline, gas prices have hit a 7-year high, some gas stations are running dry, and Americans are sitting in long gas lines as a result. These are the real-life consequences of Democrats’ radical energy agenda.

Bottom line: Democrats’ policies and future plans are nothing short of a disaster, and now hard-working Americans are paying the price.
