Kamala Harris Heads to Ukrainian Border After a Litany of Failures

Kamala Harris left for Europe Wednesday morning to meet with leaders from Poland and Romania – two countries bordering Ukraine – as Russia’s war with Ukraine intensifies.

According to the White House, Harris’ trip “will demonstrate the strength and unity of the NATO Alliance and U.S. support for NATO’s eastern flank allies in the face of Russian aggression. It will also highlight our collective efforts to support the people of Ukraine.”

The White House’s decision to send Harris raised eyebrows following her inability to tackle domestic issues and repeated gaffes on the world stage.

Harris was put in charge of voting rights and the border crisis last year – two issues that have since landed on the Biden administration’s growing list of failures.

Fox News: “Migrant encounters at the U.S. southern border increased in January, and almost doubled the number of encounters from January 2021, according to a court filing obtained by Fox News.”

CNN: “Senate Democrats suffered a major defeat Wednesday evening in their efforts to pass voting rights legislation — a key issue for the party, which is under pressure to take action ahead of the midterm elections just months away.”

She also received scrutiny recently after a clip of her explaining what was happening in Ukraine in “layman’s terms” went viral.

Bottom line: Following their botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the Biden administration has a lot to prove when it comes to their competence on the world stage. Is Kamala Harris the best person to be representing the U.S. abroad during such a critical situation? Her record suggests otherwise.
